Years of research show that isolation and loneliness are major contributing factors in the decline of health as we age.
There are people in our community who spend most of each day alone!
Their days can be long...getting out & about difficult.... and often families are not able to visit regularly to ensure their well-being is continuing safely and smoothly!
If you can volunteer 1 Hour per week and would like to visit an Older Person in your area you will help reduce this isolation!
This Accredited Visiting Service:
- Encourages independance.
- Compliments existing services already in place.
- Provides information to help with the ageing process.
- Offers training and on-going support from AVS personal.
