Our facilities currently include a 27-bed surgical and medical ward, twin operating suites, new procedure rooms, a large recovery room, and a new
7-chair day stay unit. Children enjoy our bright fun playroom whilst extra conveniences are provided for the family and individuals in our modern facilities.

- Rooms for overnight stay are fresh and modern, with an ensuite, television, radio and tea/coffee making facilities to make your stay as comforatble as possible
We have a modern day-stay facility for those who do not require staying overnight. - We have a professional nursing team focused on providing a high standard of care and comfort during your stay.
- We provide nourishing, quality meals for overnight patients and can cater for special dietary requirements on request. We can also arrange visitor meals for a reasonable charge, if requested early in the day.
- We deliver complimentary daily newspapers on request.
- Visitors are welcome at any time during the day and early evening but special arrangements can be made at your request. Please let us know if we can support you in limiting your visitors.

The Southern Cross Specialist Centre in Palmerston North is a multidisciplinary medical centre located on the hospital site. Opened in March 2007, and accommodating 6 consulting rooms, the centre enables specialists to consult with patients and conduct examinations whilst also offering convenient access to other facilities for minor procedures within the hospital.
We are constantly working to expand the range and depth of services located within the centre, which include Cardiology, Endoscopy, General Surgery, Gynaecology, Ophthalmology and Urology.
Our Specialist Centre also offers patients access to consultants and specialists in pain management and rehabilitation.
