In New Zealand our older population is growing much faster in proportion to the rest of the population and there is a  move and desire for that population to remain "at home" as opposed to going into a hospital or rest home... so with this has to come the growth and availability of services available.

There are numerous services and much support available for for older people so they can stay at home as long as possible, some private and some paid for by the Government.
Finding and accessing these can be a minefield for anyone and with this in mind At Home Care has been developed and extended to make this a less stressful period for both the older person needing some assistance at home and for their families assisting them.

This information has been added to the web site to assist with both local information and common steps in the processes of obtaining help in order to simplify the process. I hope that this information will explain differant aspects, offer information and be helpful in decision making.
